We mallus grow beard, wear lungies, talk our own English….. and we play kalaputtu, in your language “ Bull race”. But I haven’t seen kalaputtu in my life till last January, I should feel ashamed about that but at last I did it, I mean I saw it in real 
In Kerala it happens just after the harvesting before fields are ready for the next reason. The rules as far as I know: you have to go for one round, who reach fastest is the winner and most importantly the rider shouldn’t fall/apart from bull.
